Sign Language Camp

Description

Every summer kids, ages 8 to 16, participate in our day camp program locate on our historic campus on the north shore of Long Island to learn and grow in their understanding of American Sign Language and Deaf culture. Taught by Deaf teachers and interacting with Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf students, campers experience American Sign Language immersion.

Campers will learn:

  • Alphabet and Numbers
  • Colors, food & Animal Signs
  • Household & Family Signs
  • Conversational ASL
  • Deaf Culture
  • How to Sign Songs
  • Games Played in Sign Only (No Voice)

Other activities include:

  • Theme Days
  • Water Games
  • Arts and Crafts
